Full Job Description Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for leading and managing financial planning and analysis, cost accounting and profit and loss statement control to drive profitability on a corporate scale. Evaluates current operations and makes recommendations for improvements, implements efficiency changes.
MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the operations of the Corporate accounting function, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the Company strategic goals and objectives.
- Assure adherence to GAAP, corporate accounting policy and government regulations; ownership of financial statement integrity
- Ensure achievement of budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Analyze and interpret financial information in order to appraise operating results and performance against budget/forecast.
- Ensure proper and accurate allocation of overhead expenses to both divisions and cost centers.
- Interpret financial statements and determine proper reporting of foreign transactions
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax preparers and valuation advisors
- In conjunction with Sr. Management, develop and analyze short and long-range business plans
- Develop direct material, labor and overhead rates for use in inventory valuation, product costing and product pricing.
- Coordinate with Division financial accounting month, quarter and year-end close and financial reporting
- Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Coordination of tax reporting and filing obligations; provide supporting analysis for tax planning efforts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to strengthen internal controls and gain operating efficiencies.
- Travel to divisions as required
