Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead and manage financial operations in our organization based in Wilson, North Carolina. This role requires a dynamic individual who can oversee accounting functions, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management and team leadership to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
- Manage the payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments to maintain seamless workflows.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support informed financial decision-making.
- Prepare and coordinate the production of both internal and external financial statements.
- Facilitate external audit processes and ensure compliance with auditing requirements.
- Lead the budgeting process, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Evaluate current accounting practices and recommend improvements to optimize operations.
- Develop and track financial performance metrics to measure organizational success.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements, including tax planning and compliance.
- Recruit, train, and retain skilled accounting staff to build a high-performing team. Requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as 3M, CRM, and Crystal Reports.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and auditing practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing budget processes and financial planning.
- Experience with ADP financial services and payroll systems.
- Ability to assess and improve accounting operations through strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, tax compliance, and financial performance metrics.
- Proven leadership skills in hiring, training, and managing accounting teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
