This position oversees the preparation of financial statements, manages audits, and supervises the accounting team. In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, the Controller contributes to financial analysis efforts that support decision-making, budgeting, and long-term planning. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Compliance Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems and accounting policies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements. Supervise and develop a small accounting team. Financial Analysis & Planning Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis to senior management. Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making. Provide insight into cost trends and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies. Cash Flow & Reporting Monitor daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity. Prepare financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders. Support treasury and banking functions as needed. Qualifications CPA required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or Controller-level role. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
