Controller 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 A client based in Bergen County, NJ is currently seeking a Controller on an interim basis to provide support to the VP of Finance as the firm goes through a restructuring. The Interim Controller will be directly involved with owning the monthly close process, consolidating a handful of domestic and international entities, and preparing financial statements. Additionally, the Controller will handle variance analysis, reconcile GL and Balance Sheet accounts, and handle intercompany transactions/eliminations. Prior experience managing audits, preparing state/local taxes, and managing cash flow would be helpful. Recent experience working in professional services, project-driven companies with multiple cost-centers, and/or marketing/public relations firms is a must! Proficiency with MS D365 Business Central, Power BI, and Excel are required for this role. CPA is desirable, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for managing financial data and systems. Demonstrated expertise in monthly closings and balance sheet account reconciliations. Strong knowledge of equity accounting and purchase price variance analysis. Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and performing intercompany eliminations. Familiarity with purchase price allocation and related accounting principles. Ability to analyze financial data and produce detailed variance reports. Solid understanding of state and local tax filing requirements and compliance. Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and developing accounting teams.
