Responsibilities:

+ Develop and oversee comprehensive budgets, financial forecasts, and projections to ensure organizational goals are met. + Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, translating complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable insights. + Supervise and guide a team of entry-level and senior accountants, fostering growth and ensuring accuracy in financial operations. + Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Senior HR Director to align financial strategies with organizational objectives. + Take ownership of the fiscal department, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance. + Provide consultative support to leadership, offering insights and recommendations to drive sound financial decision-making. + Ensure timely execution of the financial close process, maintaining precision in reporting and analysis. + Lead hands-on financial operations, managing day-to-day accounting activities and resolving any issues that arise. Requirements The ideal Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar. Other requirements for the Controller role include and are not limited to: + 7+ years of Non-Profit accounting experience, + Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel + Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices. + Proven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
