Controller CSS Building Services Inc North Brunswick, NJ 08902 Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles. We are a building services company well established and headquartered in Central NJ Duties Oversee the preparation of financial statements Ensure accurate account reconciliation and maintain full charge general ledger system. Multi State Operations, with heavy payroll, benefits and sales tax compliance Monthly Closings for affiliated company group and reporting to senior management as well as facilitating outside CPA firm. Supervise accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices. Oversee full cycle of accounts payable We are looking for an individual with the ability in a fast paced environment, analytical thinker with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, time management and organizational skills Preparation of operating budgets Qualifications Proven experience as a Controller Strong knowledge of financial concepts, debits, credits and general ledger accounting Proficiency in account reconciliation processes Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and compliance standards. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration across departments. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus. Microsoft 365 Sage 50 General Ledger a plus Third party payroll systems (Paycom /Paychex)
