(#14335004) Purposive Consulting Linden, NJ 07036 Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of chemical products in the Elizabeth region is seeking a Junior Controller to join our growing team. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of our organization by managing daily accounting functions, financial reporting, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the opportunity for growth as our operations expand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Oversee bookkeeping and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
• Work closely with the executive team to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
