Director of Finance West Valley View Inc. 3820 Route 417, Allegany, NY 14706 Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and providing insightful forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of financial management, including payroll, cash management, and account reconciliation. Daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and customer deposits. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial data. Maintain all accounting records and financial documentation. Utilize Sage software for efficient financial reporting and analysis. Create various financial schedules & reports in Excel. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency. Monitor cash flow and implement strategies for effective cash management. Quarterly reconciliation of manufacturer rebates. Experience Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar accounting/financial management role. Strong knowledge of private business accounting practices is preferred. Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in financial report writing and analysis. Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
