Overview:

We are currently seeking a Financial Controller who will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The duties of the Controller include assisting with the preparation of the operational strategies, overseeing financial reporting and the accounting team. Across all of the duties, the Controller works the majority of the time with the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial Metrics. They will develop, maintain, and monitor all control systems to protect the company’s assets.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Analyze operational costs and recommend areas for financial improvement. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit standards, and internal policies. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and standard operating procedures. Partner with department heads to align financial goals with operational needs. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all financial tasks. Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including banking relationships. Assist with capital expenditure planning and ROI analyses for development projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Strong knowledge of financial software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics). Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience with seasonal business cycles and cost control in a multi-revenue stream environment is a plus. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and pivot tables. Experience with property management systems (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
