The Controller will join an outstanding team and contribute to their ongoing success and company growth!
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate tax and audit planning with external auditors/tax practitioners, ensuring compliance and timely Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial statements, including comparative statements, balance sheets and income statements. Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory Monitor and review bank reconciliations, loan schedules, management fees, analysis and true ups of intercompany transactions, including the follow up of Lead, mentor and train accounting department staff; Accounting Manager/Asst. Controller, Staff Accountants, and AP clerks, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development. Maintain a full set of annual workpapers for all operating Limited assistance, as needed, in the sale, refinance, underwriting and assessment of acquisitions during due diligence and implementation of accounting
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) preferred or other comparable financial designation/experience. 5+ years of accounting experience (Controller, Accounting Manager or equivalent) with at least 2 years in a supervisory/ leadership Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
