 Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Syosset, New York. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial management and leadership, particularly within companies that sell physical products. This role is perfect for someone with a proven ability to oversee accounting processes, guide teams, and drive financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Lead financial planning and analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making. Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations to ensure efficient cash flow. Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline financial processes. Conduct audits to verify compliance and improve operational efficiencies. Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends and opportunities. Develop and manage a high-performing accounting team, providing training and mentorship. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies and organizational goals. Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Crystal Reports for financial data analysis and reporting. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. Proven experience working for companies that sell physical products. Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial planning and analysis (FP& A). Familiarity with accounting software systems like QuickBooks, Dynamics AX, and Crystal Reports. Proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools. Experience managing teams and providing leadership in a financial setting. Knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and audit processes.
