Salary:

$170k/yr +

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controller will be responsible for managing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The position will lead all day-to-day finance operations ensuring company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.
Oversee the activities of the A/P department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, monthly close, account reconciliation, reporting and analyses, core employee expense reports and cash control.
Oversees the A/R department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all non-factored Accounts Receivable aging components including billings and cash receipts application.
Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company’s value.
Must have experience working with accounting experience
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables, income tax and banking working knowledge.
Knowledge and experience in ERP Systems and Blue Cherry software, preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and/or MBA preferred
Must have 7 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
Fashion Wholesale Industry experience is preferred.
