Financial Controller Three Rivers Behavioral Health 4043 Irene Street, West Mifflin, PA 15122 Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Hospital team. The Controller is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Three Rivers Behavioral Health, LLC and Three Rivers Residential , LLC in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
- Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Provide continual improvement of the budgeting process through the education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
- Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
- Knowledge of hospital and/or professional fee claims, billing cycle appeal process of denied claims secondary tertiary insurances.
- Assist Management with important financial decisions.
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statement to understand the financial state of the business.
- Monitor a company financial report and determine way to reduce cost.
- Understand the financial status of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing.
- Assist in payroll preparation as required.
- Utilizing organization accounting program inputting invoices and performing monthly bank, AP and AR reconciliation.
- This position requires up to 10-25% travel.
Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree requires 5 to 10 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience CPA and MBA.
