Vintage Imports is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s goals. This position requires a strong background in accounting and financial management, along with expertise in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Manage the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation. Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary. Develop and maintain financial forecasts to guide strategic planning and decision-making. Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights that support operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to all governmental accounting practices and principles. Supervise the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. Utilize Sage software for financial reporting and analysis. Experience Proven experience in Business, Government or Public Accounting is preferred Strong understanding of financial management principles, including account analysis and reconciliation. Familiarity with financial concepts related to forecasting and budgeting. Proficiency in using accounting software is a plus Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information.
