Job Description
Assistant Controller 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 We’re partnering with a well-respected, family-oriented organization to hire a newly created Assistant Controller position with a clear growth path as part of a succession plan. This is a unique chance to join a close-knit, long-tenured accounting team in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a four-year degree in Accounting or a related field, and at least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements Manage month-end and year-end close processes Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Assist with budgeting and forecasting Support audits and prepare necessary documentation Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Analyze financial data and provide management reports Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls
Assistant Controller Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of well-rounded general accounting experience Adaptable, self-motivated, and collaborative Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments Thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
