Job Description:

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturer, isseeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at theirflagship Pennsylvania plant. This is a highly visible rolesupporting a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment. Theideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cost accounting,inventory controls, and direct experience in heavy manufacturingenvironments.

Salary:

$160,000-$190,000

Plant Controller Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred. 8 yearsof progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3years in a plant controller or assistant controller capacity. Musthave heavy manufacturing or industrial plant exposure. Experiencewith ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong knowledge ofGAAP, inventory controls, and cost accounting principles.

Comfortable working in a hands-on, plant-floor-driven environment.

Plant Controller Responsibilities:

Lead all accounting operationsfor the plant, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting,and reporting. Analyze production costs, inventory valuation, andmanufacturing variances to support decision-making. Partner withplant management and corporate leadership to drive performance andfinancial transparency. Oversee internal controls, fixed assettracking, and capital project accounting. Manage standard costing,labor/overhead analysis, and identify areas for operationalimprovement. Ensure SOX or other compliance requirements are metand documented appropriately. Support internal/external audits andcontinuous process improvements.
