About theFinance Team The Thumbtack Finance team’s mission is to be astrategic finance partner to the business to enable better businessdecisions that are supported by data while building a world classfinance function and to do it all with integrity. About the role Asthe finance business partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, yourC-suite partner will view you as a trusted advisor and value yourexpertise and help in managing resources and growing the businessto achieve company goals. This is a highly visible role thatsupports the Commercial organization including Partnerships,Business Development, Sales, Service and Operations teams. You willprovide end to end finance support including analyzing marketopportunities, contracts, building financial models, and deliveringinsights to drive informed business decisions across pricing,customer acquisition, and market expansion strategies. You are akey cross functional lead and part of the Commercial leadershipteam delivering on company wide growth initiatives. You areinstrumental in optimizing go-to-market, sales and revenuegenerating initiatives, evaluating performance, and enablingdata-driven decision-making. You will work with Partnerships/Business Development, Sales, Service and Operations to providedecision support for how sales and partnership decisions impact theP&L. You thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment. What youlldo Provide guidance and strategic recommendations to influence ourcommercial leaders on financial strategies, investments, incentivecompensation design & implementation, and resource allocationdecisions, leveraging an in-depth understanding of market dynamicsand the companys financials Lead deal desk support for strategicopportunities, focusing on revenue optimization and profitabilityanalysis Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersacross BD, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignmentbetween financial planning and commercial objectives Support thebusiness in planning and develop team targets and OKRs Prepare anddeliver clear, concise, and insightful financial analyses andforecasts, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunitiesrelating to the companys go-to-market strategy to stakeholders andexecutives Create effective dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards totrack our operational and financial metrics relating to ourgo-to-market activities. Analyze and synthesize financial resultsand communicate key messages to internal stakeholders Work closelywith Sales and Product to assess the impact of incentives,promotions and pricing changes on revenue In order to besuccessful, you must bring 8 years of FP&A experience,including supporting Business Development/ New Venture /Partnershipteams Experience with C-level influence and upward management,ideally having worked closely with CFO and CCO/COO/CBO/GM-Presidentroles. Ability to take initiative and have a strong sense ofownership over shaping and executing upon our strategy Experiencesetting up and providing finance support including Partnershipscontracts, pricing, planning, forecasting and reporting Possessoperational finance expertise working with Sales organizations,incl goal/quota setting, ROI establishment & attainment andincentives Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, usingkey tools within Excel and G-Suite. Ability to provide insights,quickly iterate and thrive in a fast-paced environment Expectedsalary ranges For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area,San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salaryrange for the role is currently $237,600

  • $290,400. For candidatesliving in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California,Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expectedsalary range for the role is currently $213,800
  • $261,400. Forcandidates living in all other US locations, the expected salaryrange for this role is currently $190,700
  • $246,800.

Actualoffered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors,such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies,and proficiency for the role. Thumbtack embraces diversity.
