WhoYou Are:
HighLevel is seeking an experienced Director, StrategicFinance to build out the function and implement AI-first analyticalfinancial frameworks to influence decision making for our mostbusiness-critical questions. You will partner directly with seniorleaders across the business to help inform resource allocation,define operational and financial KPIs, own long-range financialrevenue modeling and most importantly, proactively identifyopportunities to drive growth or improve profitability. We arelooking for someone with a strong track record of leading astrategic finance function in a high-growth private/public company,partnering with financial and non-financial stakeholders toinfluence key business decisions using data and building ahigh-performing team. You will report directly to the Head ofFinance.
What You Will Do:
Functional Ownership:
Lead our strategicfinance function, play a central role in defining how the teampartners across the organization and act as a trusted advisor tosenior leaders to help influence quantify key business decisions
Strategic Planning & Forecasting:
Own and improve the company’slong-range financial model for our subscription, usage-based andpayments products, embedding deeply across the business toidentify, quantify and capture changes in GTM, product strategy,operational efficiency, etc.
Decision Support:
Partner with seniorleaders across Product, Marketing, Sales & Operations to providefinancial insights and scenario analysis supporting strategicinitiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions byleveraging an in-depth understanding of market dynamics, uniteconomics, pricing strategies, etc. – helping ensure financialassumptions translate into measurable outcomes
CorporateDevelopment Support:
Collect and analyze externalfinancial/operational data, and interpret market trends andcompetitor activities to deliver benchmarking analysis andinfluence decision making for key stakeholders, includingmanagement and investors.
Board & Investor Materials:
Prepare andpresent strategic financial insights, forecasts, and KPIs to theboard of directors, investors, and executive stakeholders.
BusinessCase Development:
Build robust operational financial models formajor projects, including ROI, LTV/CAC and payback analysis, tohelp teams quantify trade-offs between driving growth profitability/ articulate compelling financial narratives
Cross-functionalCollaboration:
Lead cross-departmental financial projects and drivealignment across teams on budgeting, resource planning, andstrategic goals.
KPI Development & Tracking:
Define and track keyperformance indicators across Sales & Marketing, Product, Support,etc. and lead performance measurement initiatives to driveaccountability and transparency.
Team and Culture Building:
Hire,mentor and guide other finance team members, fostering ahigh-performance, collaborative and data-driven culture. Architectscalable team structures, workflows, and governance models thatsupport business growth without sacrificing control / quality.
AI-enabled Process Improvement:
Identify and spearheadopportunities to leverage AI-based tools to streamline existingclose / improve precision of forecasting processes, helping unlockteam capacity to focus on other ad-hoc or high-impact analysis
WhatYou Bring:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or arelated field (MBA or CFA preferred). 10-12 years of progressiveexperience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking,private equity, or corporate strategy in a late-stage / high-growthtech or public company environment, with at least 5 years ofleadership / management experience Exceptional communication andpresentation skills, with experience interfacing with executiveteams, board members, and investors. Excellent business partneringskills, with both financial and non-financial leaders; track recordof advising operational and financial improvements across multipleareas in the business Willingness and ability to operate atmultiple levels – deep within the details and big picture – withstrong awareness of when to leverage each to achieve a targetedoutcome Advanced modeling skills, including strong understanding ofbottom-up financial modeling and tying together unit economics tothe overall business impact Deep understanding of SaaS andusage-based business models and metrics Ability to jump intoambiguous questions or situations, identify the key variables anddrive toward a successful outcome Extraordinary ability tostory-tell with data / analysis and distill complex topics andtradeoffs into a simple framework to influence decision makingPossess a bias toward action, strong work ethic, and player-coachmentality with experience driving operational outcomes under tighttimelines Advanced experience with Excel / Google sheets, BI tools(Tableau), financial planning tools (e.g. Adaptive Insights) and AItools (e.g. GPT-based copilots, etc.)
