Finance Director City of Latrobe 901 Jefferson Street, Latrobe, PA 15650 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, investment management, and corporate accounting. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization’s financial planning, risk analysis, and strategic initiatives to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals. Manage investment portfolios and assess performance to optimize returns. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations through effective accrual accounting practices. Prepare and interpret comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders. Lead corporate accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives to drive business growth. Monitor cost management practices to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; master’s degree or CPA preferred. Proven experience in investment management, public accounting, and corporate finance roles. Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and financial report interpretation. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, strategic planning, and cost management. Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on risk analysis and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders. Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments to achieve organizational objectives.
