Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-2:30

PM Total Hours:

40 hours/week Charleston Grounds Management, a fast-growing commercial landscaping company, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, and internal controls. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the company’s accounting systems, software platforms, and overall financial health. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain all accounting functions in QuickBooks Desktop Oversee job costing, billing, and financial reporting in Aspire software Maintain and reconcile all company credit card transactions Invoice completed jobs promptly and accurately in Aspire Ensure accurate job costing across all services and contracts Track and process commission payouts based on company structure Lead end-of-month closeouts in Aspire and ensure accurate reporting Assist in contract renewal processing and oversight Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts Conduct variance and profitability analysis across jobs and departments Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial procedures Build and manage budgets and cash flow forecasts Enter and reconcile all transactions (AP/AR) Oversee tax strategy, depreciation, and capital spending Collaborate with the CFO to monitor financial KPIs and help the company hit financial goals Support ownership with strategic financial insights, vendor reviews, and forecasting Collaborate with HR and operations to ensure payroll accuracy and budget discipline Lead the month-end close process and reconcile all accounts Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 3+ years of accounting/controller experience (preferably in a mid-sized business) Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop and job costing Experience using or managing Aspire Landscape Software (preferred or must be willing to learn quickly) Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Strong communication and leadership ability Must be strong in accounting software and software use in general. Clean background and credit check

Work Schedule & Benefits Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-2:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
