Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to organizational growth while working closely with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in project-based environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Conduct audits and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Utilize accounting software systems, such as Sage or Oracle, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide insights on tax planning and capital expenditure strategies to support business objectives.
• Offer financial guidance for project-based initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support the integration of financial data into CRM and reporting tools like Crystal Reports. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, with an active CPA.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a project-based construction environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as Sage, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Experience with auditing and budget management.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and financial reporting tools like Crystal Reports.
• Knowledge of tax planning and capital expenditure processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
