Finance & Accounting Leadership Overview:
A growing organization in the real estate/property management sector is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead its accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and overseeing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and budgeting. The VP of Finance will report directly to the CEO and play a key role in financial strategy and operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage treasury operations, including wire and ACH payments Prepare consolidated financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance analyses Provide strategic financial guidance and best practice recommendations Collaborate with business partners on accruals, forecasts, and budget planning Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax preparers Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team Manage debt instruments and ensure compliance with quarterly reporting requirements Partner with executive leadership on financial initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience Experience in real estate or property management preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation Proficiency in accounting systems; experience with Yardi is a plus Advanced Excel skills
