Job Description
Fast growing clinical research company that is PE backed by a leading private equity firm is seeking a hands-on Controller to play a key role in scaling the finance function. This position reports to the CFO and will assist in establishing accounting systems, financial controls and processes as they grow. Unique opportunity to make a direct impact, with significant potential for growth and ownership in an entrepreneurial setting.
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial statements are prepared in accordance with
U.S. GAAP.
Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll functions, and optimize these areas through automation. Work closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Plan and implement systems and processes to support strong internal controls, while driving continuous improvements. Support cash management and forecasting efforts, ensuring working capital is optimized. Lead the financial integration of new acquisitions, ensuring seamless consolidation across multiple locations. Play a key role in growing and mentoring the finance team as the company scales. Manage the year-end audit and coordinate with external tax advisors for the annual tax process.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of relevant experience , including public accounting experience. Experience in a multi-site, high-growth, or PE-backed healthcare or retail environment. CPA with a strong technical accounting background and experience in managing general ledger and financial reporting functions. Proven experience in M&A integration . Adaptable and able to shift seamlessly between tactical execution and strategic decision-making. Comfortable working with senior leadership, driving cross-functional collaboration, and are a results-driven professional with strong communication skills.
