As we continue to scale, we’re seeking our first full-time Controller to own the accounting function and streamline financial operations—freeing up the founding team to focus on growth. The Controller will be responsible for managing daily operations within the accounting department, and financial reporting. This role will own highly impactful projects including preparing and communicating financial results, implementing strong internal controls, and creating process improvements. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who desires to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting. The Controller will report to the President.

As the Controller you will:

Own all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination Lead month-end and year end close processes to prepare the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement Build and maintain chart of accounts, accounting policies, and procedures Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for the executive team and PE firm Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership Lead the annual audit process and partner with the tax firm to ensure comprehensive tax compliance Identify process improvements and help implement best practices as the business grows Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting Development and maintain 13-week cash flow forecast Conduct financial analyses to support various operational projects Assist with accounting integration processes if/when the Company completes acquisitions To be successful in the role you must possess: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA preferred, but not required Background as a Controller in a PE-backed environment required 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least some experience in a small or mid-sized business Strong communication skills; this person will be expected to regularly communicate company performance and variance analysis to leadership, the Board, and the PE sponsor Strong analytical experience and ability to work independently with little oversight Familiarity with building and automating accounting processes Comfortable operating in QuickBooks (or similar) and Excel Self-starter comfortable rolling up sleeves in a lean environment Why Join Us Be the first dedicated finance hire and build the function from the ground up Work directly with experienced founders and a highly engaged PE partner Hybrid flexibility with a strong, in-person team culture in Nashville Opportunity to grow with the company as it scales If you feel that you would be a great fit for this opportunity, please apply today!
