Job Description
Our client is a nonprofit family of communities committed to offering comprehensive senior living and health care services, extending care to individuals of all ages with disabilities, and ensuring accessible and affordable housing options. They are growing through affiliation, acquisition and development of new communities. The accounting and finance department is bringing in its currently outsourced accounting and finance activities and implementing a new GL system for enhanced financial reporting to support the growth of the company.
The successful candidate will:
Assess policies and procedures for improvement during insourcing Assist in the hiring, training and management of new accounting staff Manage all financial activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting and reporting Develop and implement financial policies, procedure and internal controls Support executive directors and other community personnel through financial reporting and analysis, including assistance with variance analysis Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and reporting obligations Oversee accounts payable, receivable and cash management functions Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits to comply with regulatory and lending requirements Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role Sage Intacct experience a plus but not required
