Job Description
Our client is a privately held, global industrial manufacturer with their HQ in the Nashville area. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Leader to collaborate closely with their business to support their growth and efficiency, manage accounting operations and lead ongoing process improvement. This role offers a hybrid work setup, with two days/week working from your home office . The Opportunity
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the corporate accounting department; including financial reporting, general ledger management, and other accounting functions.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Manage and coordinate all corporate tax activities, including compliance, planning, and reporting.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, including working with external auditors Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in manufacturing and 4+ years of experience in corporate accounting
- Experience in managing direct reports
- Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) software, preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate tax regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
