We’re looking for an experienced Controller with Construction experience to establish and oversee our accounting systems and processes, with a strong focus on implementing ERP systems, enhancing accounting processes, and supporting organizational growth. Reporting to the VP, The Controller is responsible for the oversight of the day‐to‐day accounting operations, the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, analyses, regulatory reporting, as well as the strategic financial planning and reporting. The Controller also oversees the corporate Payroll Department and performs consolidation functions with information provided from multiple divisions to provide to executive team members. The position requires knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Controller is a key member of the organization’s leadership team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Full ownership and accountability for all aspects of the accounting operations including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset subledgers and account reconciliations. Daily cash management for multiple bank accounts completing intercompany transfers as needed. Perform cash flow forecast and consolidate with multiple divisional cash forecasts weekly. Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule in accordance with GAAP reporting. Responsible for Intercompany reconciliation process. Oversee corporate Payroll Department ensuring accurate payroll processing and payroll tax filings. Key member of payroll integration projects for new acquisitions. Responsible for regulatory reporting, including local business taxes. Supports annual financial audit. Safeguards the Company’s assets through establishing, monitoring, and reviewing effective internal controls. Lead annual strategy, annual budget and forecasting, monthly estimates, and monthly business reviews in partnership with executive team members. Drive automation, efficiency, and scalability initiatives to meet growth requirements. Lead and manage accounting and payroll teams. Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

COMPETENCIES

Ability to work a flexible schedule. Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, financial analysis, and payroll tax laws. Ability and willingness to be hands‐on and dive into the detail. EXPERIENCE
