Controller Manages daily activities for a plant’s accounting functions, which may include cost and general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Job Duties Maintain the plant’s general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses and revenues Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close and financial reporting Assist internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing of the plant’s financial records and statements Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to manage cash flow Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Comprehensive knowledge of the field’s concepts and principles Perform complex tasks typically following established processes Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change Typically require a bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience EOE-Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran Various agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
