This location, with a workforce of 500 employees, is looking for someone with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. While automotive industry experience is preferred, candidates with a background in large-scale manufacturing will also be considered. Bilingual candidates, fluent in both English and Spanish, are desired but not required. The Plant Controller will take on a critical leadership position within the plant, managing all financial functions at the facility level. This includes overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The role will also involve close collaboration with plant management to enhance operational efficiency and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Generate and assess comprehensive financial statements for the plant, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, to evaluate financial performance against established targets and highlight areas needing improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Develop and manage the plant’s yearly budget, project future financial outcomes, and deliver regular updates to plant leadership.
Cost Analysis:
Evaluate production costs, labor, material consumption, and overhead expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
Inventory Control:
Oversee inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and preventing both stockouts and surplus inventory.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and guarantee compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to financial reporting and tax obligations.
Audit Assistance:
Work alongside internal and external auditors to streamline audit processes.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and guide a team of accounting professionals, including roles in payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
Strategic Business Partnering:
Collaborate with plant management to provide financial insights and offer recommendations that support business decisions and operational strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
