Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, budgeting, human resources including some supervisory responsibilities with team members as needed. This is a work from home position with face to face meetings at the office from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to AR, AP, general ledgers, chart of accounts, ADP payroll processing (bi-weekly), health insurance, employee benefits 401(k) profit sharing, employee PTO, human resources (HR), vendor relationships, insurance claims for lost product, assist with purchase orders and sales invoices, credit memos, credit card and bank reconciliations, quarterly sales commission reports, and inventory adjustments and reporting. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies. Complete month and year-end closings according to agreed upon deadlines. Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Develop and implement internal controls and document processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist in coordinating the annual budge.ng process and monitor variances between budgeted and actual financial performance. Stay current on accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the company’s accounting practices remain up-to-date and efficient. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA certification a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles. Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software – Sage 50 Quantum (preferred but not necessary) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
