Job Description:
The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial accounting and reporting functions for Reliable Medical. This role will require strong leadership skills, extensive experience in both public accounting and industry, and the ability to optimize financial processes to support the organization’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with a focus on healthcare finance and multi-state, multi-entity operations.
What you will do:
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis Utilize Sage Intacct and other financial software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the accounting, reporting and analysis of financial transactions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and drive business performance Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive operational improvements Coordinate external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate completion Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on the organization Perform ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required Ensures integrity of financial statements and adherence to GAAP What you need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a mix of public accounting and industry experience Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Proven track record of optimizing financial processes and driving efficiency improvements Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities Nice to have: CPA certification Experience with revenue recognition and inventory management within a healthcare setting Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software Experience with reporting and communication to a PE sponsor General experience with state and local tax filings Experience working in a multi-state, multi-entity healthcare environment is highly desirable Reliable Medical is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
