Job Description

Divisional Controller – Lodging PaymentsWhat We NeedCorpay is currently looking to hire a strategic and results-driven Divisional Controller within our Lodging Payments division. This position falls under our Finance line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will lead and design the effective and consistent delivery of revenue recognition to support the organization’s revenue targets. You will report directly to the Global Controller and regularly collaborate with the Lodging Payments leadership team.

Managing and providing oversight of roles within the finance team to achieve accurate and timely reporting of revenue across the Lodging Payments businessEffectively managing the flow of contract information to appropriately record revenue from multiple service offerings, by legal entity and market, and evaluating any sales tax or other state or local filing requirementsWorking with the Operations teams to create appropriate billing processes and deliverables showcasing accuracy and professional standards of CorpayEnsuring the global accounting policies and procedures are followed including maintaining an effective control environment and adherence to internal controlsParticipating in the analysis of revenue and the collection of delinquencies to ensure maximum benefit to the line of business, while catching errors that would misstate revenueMaintaining regular contact and building/maintaining solid working relationships with internal stakeholders to provide necessary financial information and ensure the highest level of business partnershipPartnering and working effectively with the FP&A teams to understand key metrics and utilize these to investigate and explain revenue variances and to support budget and forecasting processesSupporting the Finance & IT Transformation agendaProviding clear direction and expectations for achieving agreed objectivesProviding effective and efficient people management and mentoring through the Dayforce processEncouraging behaviors that foster an inclusive, flexible culture that encourages excellenceEnsuring robust business continuity plans, risk management, and continuous improvement plans are in place for Finance OperationsDeveloping and communicating development plans, objectives, and targets that are regularly reported on and provide opportunities for continual improvementEngaging with key stakeholders and customer groups to agree on and prioritize continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring efficiency and effectiveness in finance operations function resourcingProactively escalating value and risk issuesEnsuring financial information provided to support decision-making is fit-for-purpose, compliant, and provides clear explanations of financial issues and their implicationsProtecting CORPAY’s financial assets by ensuring compliance with financial regulations and GAAPUndertaking other ad hoc tasks as required, focusing particularly on improving processes and systemsQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s Degree (accounting or finance designation), with CPAApproximately 8+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience obtained in large or complex public organization with high volume transactionsA minimum of 8 years related finance or accounting experience in a supervisory roleExperience working for a Big 4 Accounting firm (preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated knowledge of internal controls, SOX, USGAAPExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and apply concepts strategicallyProficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsMeticulous and strong attention to detailDeadline oriented, good time management skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerCorpay is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
