Job Description
Vaco is seeking a hospital controller to support a large healthcare client during a large transition. This role requires previous experience managing the accounting function at the facility level. This role will require some on-site travel (during month-end close), with remote work outside of close (50% travel). This client is in South Carolina. As an interim Controller, you will serve as a financial expert for our client. This role involves leading/contributing to monthly close, budget management, providing analytical support, and supervising staff.
Requirements:
Must bring 10+ years of accounting experience, with proven track record as a controller or director of finance in a for-profit acute care hospital facility (non-profit will not be considered) Ability to lead a team as well as contribute to monthly close, quarter-end, year-end, audit management, and financial reporting Must be readily available and willing to commit to 6 months Able to travel (overnight) for the first 2 weeks of the month during the course of the project, and for initial training or as needed
