Lebanon, TN Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for overall financial management and controls for the AGS division, including general ledger accountability, P&L & Cash Flow management, and financial planning. The Assistant Controller will oversee activities performed by the Accounting and Finance staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness and serve as the objective business partner for the AGS GM to achieve sustainable financial targets set by the company.

Responsibilities :

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reviews and forecasts. Develop tracking tools to monitor improvement initiatives. Monitor cash flow metrics, primarily inventory-related, to ensure the division maximizes cash while meeting P&L targets. Ensure the accuracy of all transactions entered into the General Ledger. Present a clear and concise review of current and projected operating results to Company leadership. Maintain, optimize, and improve financial models to enhance budget and forecasting accuracy and proper inventory levels to meet forecasted sales demand. Ensure a strong set of internal controls. Refine and maintain the integrity of the division’s standard cost system. Set and manage AGS customer pricing, manage monthly price file development, and assist in maintaining minimum profitability requirements on the entire product line of goods and services. Support other Finance and Accounting roles as necessary. Undertake special projects at the direction of the AGS GM and Senior Director of Commercial Finance, including financial modeling and analyses for new business opportunities.

Qualifications:
Required :

Bachelor’s degree. 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance. Onsite daily presence in Lebanon, TN. Experience with forecasting and budgeting.

Desired :

Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Experience with modeling in Excel. Experience with ERP systems, QAD experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Hands-on approach to problem-solving and analysis. Comfortable participating in high-level business strategy while working with detailed data to produce results. Ability to maintain objectivity with business partners while sustaining collaborative relationships. Excellent analytical skills and high degree of accuracy.
