Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller, AGS is responsible for overall financial management and controls for the AGS, including, but not limited to, general ledger accountability, P&L & Cash Flow management, and financial planning. This role will oversee those activities performed by the Accounting and Finance staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This role also serves as the objective business partner for the AGS GM to achieve sustainable financial targets set by the company.
Key Tasks:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reviews and forecasts Prepare tracking tools to monitor improvement initiatives Monitor cash flow metrics, primarily inventory related, to ensure the division is operating to maximize cash while meeting P&L targets – work with division leadership to create solutions as needed to optimize cash flow and operating profit Ensure the accuracy of all transactions that are entered into the General Ledger Present a clear and concise review of current and projected operating results to Company leadership Maintain, optimize and improve upon current/future financial models to improve budget and forecasting accuracy as well proper inventory levels to meet forecasted sales demand Ensure a strong set of internal controls Refine and maintain the integrity of the division’s standard cost system Set and manage AGS customer pricing, manage monthly price file development, and assist in maintaining minimum profitability requirements on entire product line of goods and services Support other Finance and Accounting roles as necessary Other special projects at the direction of the AGS GM and Senior Director of Commercial Finance, including financial modelling and analyses for new business opportunities
