A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation is a plus!) A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment. Specific Essential Functions Coordinate monthly accounting closes and reporting of the organization’s financial results, while ensuring compliance with GAAP, applicable laws, policies and regulations. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with GAAP. Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Execute budgets, and analyses to support strategic initiatives and future business decisions. Develop business and financial analysis and support operational and strategic initiatives. Work with cross functional teams to facilitate analysis including ROI evaluations, capital purchases, pricing and costing analysis, metrics and tool development designed to support the Business and execute recommended improvements. Coordinate with Lenders, including development of the monthly Management Discussion & Analysis (MDA), debt financing requirements, and debt covenant compliance. Coordinate with the Board, including Cash Flow projections, and financial reporting and analysis. Establish, audit, and oversee internal controls of all functional areas. Coordinate external audit of the organization’s financial results including facilitating with the Company’s auditors. Facilitate timely and accurate preparation of all Federal and State income tax forms and returns, along with other governmental reporting. Coordinate the processing, reporting, and returns for state sales taxes, including facilitation with the Company’s sales tax partners. Identify requirements and implement system projects and/or initiatives that relate to the ERP system, banking related systems, planning and forecasting, and other key business systems and tools. Develop and report key business metrics and product category profitability to measure performance for the department and Companywide. Support growth initiatives and business expansion as required. Oversee the daily operations of the Finance team. Coach and mentor direct reports and provide timely feedback. Other Duties Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, And Experience Requirements – Controller Bachelors’ degree in accounting or finance, CPA designation or Public Accounting experience highly desired. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and responsibilities in accounting and/or finance. Minimum of five years’ experience as an accounting manager or controller within a lean manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent skills and proven ability in the following areas- oral and written communication, organization, problem solving, decision making, interpersonal relationships and leadership. Strong knowledge of information systems used in financial and operational applications. Hands-on style, with experience working directly with production teams.
Salary Range:
$80,000 – $135,000 per year
