Underwriting Technician Position Available In Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut

A leading client in the healthcare insurance industry is seeking a highly organized and motivated Underwriting Assitant to join their Financial Lines team. This is a unique opportunity to support experienced underwriters handling critical coverages such as Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Fidelity/Crime for privately-held and not-for-profit healthcare organizations. As an Underwriting Analyst, you ll play a key role throughout the insurance policy lifecycle-from the initial submission to policy issuance. You ll provide essential administrative and technical support to help underwriters manage both new and renewal business efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities include:

Processing account clearance and OFAC checks Entering submissions and preparing underwriting files Generating raters, loss runs, quotes, binders, and policy documents Managing midterm endorsements and assisting with renewals Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring workflow compliance Supporting underwriters with day-to-day operational needs

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree preferred 2+ years of underwriting analyst or relevant insurance experience preferred strong attention to detail and quality work output Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF Exceptional organization and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment strong communication and collaboration skills Self-starter with a proactive, customer-focused mindset This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working in a structured, yet adaptable environment where accuracy, communication, and teamwork are key.
