Job Description
Overview Manage an assigned underwriting territory to achieve profitable growth, including underwriting new business, renewals (as necessary), endorsements and other transactions. Identify new business opportunities and manage agency relationships. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to multiple underwriters, including monitoring email correspondence, and completing administrative tasks to expedite the underwriting process. Insurance binder processing Renewal solicitation Gather and Analyze information to assess risk Provide instruction to processing department for new and renewal accounts Provide instruction to processing department for endorsement requests Fulfill brokers requests for, loss runs, copies of policies, copies of invoicing, etc. Agency support of general questions regarding renewal status, endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, commission questions, etc.) Reconciling and analyzing audits and adjusting coverage as needed Qualifications 1-2 years’ experience as an underwriting assistant. Prefer background in All lines (Property, General Liability, Auto and WC) commercial insurance that will provide underwriting assistance to the underwriters such as processing policy cancellations, endorsements, binders, etc. High School Graduate or GED as minimum education requirements. Proven research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced atmosphere Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note) Ability to learn new software applications Strong Attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and maintain accurate records #LI-DD1 #
