Job Title:
Commercial Lines Account Manager Job Summary:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring coverage needs are met, and supporting the sales and renewal process. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of commercial insurance products and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a book of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, and policy changes. Serve as the primary contact for clients, responding promptly to inquiries, providing policy information, and resolving issues. Review and process applications, binders, certificates of insurance, and other policy documents. Work closely with producers to prepare proposals, gather underwriting information, and quote new and renewal business. Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system. Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, coverage information, and ensure timely processing of policy documents. Identify coverage gaps and recommend solutions to meet client needs. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company procedures. Participate in client meetings, audits, and renewal reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Valid Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain). 2+ years of experience in commercial lines account management preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance lines (e.g., general liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, property, etc.). Proficient with insurance management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
