The right applicant will apply their knowledge of risk tolerance for specific lines of business and underwriting procedures by providing sufficient and appropriate information to the assigned underwriter. This role will be located in our Charlotte, NC office location.

What You’ll Do:

Ensure sufficient information is obtained and forwarded to the underwriter for proper risk evaluation. Through the use of manuals, established procedures, and information collected, prepare the underwriting file for the underwriter by completing loss summaries, reviewing driver acceptability, following up to obtain missing information and other related tasks. Process policy change requests within knowledge and authority levels allowing the underwriters to focus on more complex policies and accounts. Collaborate with other business areas to ensure service and quality objectives are met. Build and maintains effective working relationships with underwriters, sales agents and brokers. Maintain privacy and confidentiality requirements as required by legislation. Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time. What it

Associates degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of 1 year of related work experience Insurance courses related to property and casualty insurance, such as IIA and CPCU beneficial. Effective communication, analytical, and mathematical skills.
