FEE FOR SERVICE EMDR THERAPIST

Balanced Mind is a woman-owned private psychotherapy group practice specialized in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy. Our client base is part private pay and part commercial insurance pay. We are seeking to engage a PhD/Psy

D/LCSW/LMSW

trained in EMDR therapy who can provide exemplary therapy to our New York City community.

THIS CONTRACTOR POSITION IS FOR

• PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs/LMSWs who wish to refine their EMDR skillset in and gain EMDR clients
• PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs/LMSWs who want to focus on delivering therapy instead of managing the ins and outs of their private practice.
• PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs/LMSWs who are interested in advancing their clinical skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, & Schema.
• PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs/LMSWs who want to work in a collaborative group practice environment
• LMSWs who wants to accrue clinical hours towards licensure in a private setting DUTIES
• Full case load position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 25-35 clients, including individuals, couples, and if applicable families/collateral figures (Full time is considered 25 completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 20-24 may be possible)
• Partial case load position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload of 18 clients, including individuals, couples, and if applicable families/collateral (Part time is considered 15 completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 15 may be possible)
• Maintains case notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LMSW and be licensed in New York State
• Completed at minimum EMDR Basic Training at an EMDRIA-accredited training institute
• Willing to commit to 2-3 days in-person at UES/Yorkville office
• Self-reflective, ambitious, curious, and willing to actively look at internal biases and countertransference
• At least two years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
• At least one year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Feel comfortable networking, marketing, and developing your own practice
• Highly responsive to email and text communication
