- Perioperative Services has an exciting opportunity for a full time Anesthesia Technician to work at Lennar Foundation Medical Center in Coral Gables.
The incumbent assists anesthesiologist by setting up equipment and preparing medications. Additionally, the incumbent orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. The Anesthesia Technician also washes and sterilizes reusable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Cleans, organizes, and maintains anesthesia workroom, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre, intra, and post anesthesia.
- Takes into consideration age-specific issues to meet the needs of the various patient groups.
- Maintains quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Documents and maintains preventative maintenance and quality records.
- Assists with transport of patients and laboratory specimens.
- Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings, and in-services.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
