Description Summary:
A professional who assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates patient care activities. He/she has clinical and/or functional knowledge of the position for which they are accountable either directly or indirectly through delegation of tasks. Incumbent is accountable to the Administrative Team. Collaborates with other Clinical Associates to meet individual needs using communication and available resources to promote quality, cost effective care.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with coaches, parents, athletes, and physicians Provide prevention, care and treatment of athletic injuries including basic first aid, CPR, and use of AED when necessary Attend Sports Medicine Clinics, including fall football Saturday morning clinics, and other public events as assigned through Regional Development and Sports Care. Coordinate with physicians and therapists to provide consistent rehabilitation therapy for athletic injuries Establish a schedule for coverage of athletic training room hours of operation at the assigned school Be a first contact between the TMFHS and the parent, athlete, and coaching staff. Attend professional meetings during the year to ensure adequate CEU’s for maintenance of National Certification and state license. Attend scheduled in-service meetings organized by the Coordinator of Sports Medicine and Educational Services.
