QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor’s degree required Master’s degree preferred Experience and Training Must be BOC Certified, NC Licensed athletic trainer or eligible,
CPR/AED Certified Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Knowledge of athletic injuries, treatment methods, rehabilitation, record keeping, taping and bracing methods Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical, problem solving and reasoning ability; independent judgment Ability to maintain confidentiality Efficient organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to utilize Smartabase injury tracking software Ability to travel as required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide medical care and athletic training services to High Point University student-athletes. Evaluate injuries, develop and implement treatment and rehab programs, refer when appropriate and make return-to-play decisions. Serve as a preceptor in ATEP. Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, parents, faculty, co-workers, coaches and physicians. Other duties as assigned
