ConVal High School – Peterborough, NH ConVal High School is seeking a dedicated and certified Athletic Trainer to join our high school athletics department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for student-athletes across all sports programs. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with coaches, parents, and healthcare professionals, and a passion for supporting student health and athletic performance. Certification through the BOC and current CPR/AED certification are required. This is a full-time position with responsibilities during practices, games, and select weekends. Responsibilities Provide medical coverage for varsity and sub-varsity high school athletic events, including practices and games, as discussed with athletic director;
Maintain high-quality health records on all injuries, relevant illnesses, prevention, rehabilitation procedures, and communications;
Comply with standing orders as set forth by the supervising physician;
Advocate for your own work/life balance, collaborating with the athletic director to determine coverage best suited for school and person
Has the potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work duties Qualifications Bachelor’s or professional degree in athletic training
Licensed as an Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure by the state of NH
Board of Certification (BOC) certified
Maintenance of current health care provider/professional rescuer CPR and AED certification
High energy, maturity, enthusiasm, leadership qualities, ability to advocate for self and patients
Self-starter, able to work independently with strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Team player mentality
Ability to communicate with athletic directors, supervisor, and other members of the healthcare team including physical therapists and doctors
Consistent with published industry PDC norms or minimally:
Requires manual dexterity and general strength and endurance
Lifting routinely loads of 5-35 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and shoulder to overhead
Has been determined as eligible for access to/use of PHI and EPHI based on work duties and responsibilities in compliance with minimal necessary standards
