Their qualifications allow them to oversee the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions. They are also responsible for maintaining clear communication with coaches, parents, and campers regarding any medical concerns. Athletic trainers are authorized to handle and distribute prescription medication and are trained to diagnose various injuries, including head injuries. Duties/Responsibilities Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions.
Communication between coaches, parents, and campers regarding medical information
Can handle and distribute prescription medication.
Can diagnose injuries including a head injury. Due to the time restraint of the camp, we cannot do a Return-to-play progression. Once a head injury is diagnosed, a camper needs full medical clearance from a doctor in order to return.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
