Preferred Education:

Job Description/Employer Information:

Kingstree High School and Hemingway High School of The Williamsburg County School District is hiring a full-time (no teaching responsibilities) athletic trainer. Kingstree High School and Hemingway High School participate in the 1A/2A division of the South Carolina High School League supporting varsity sports and can be viewed on www.wcsd.k12.sc.us. The individual will be responsible for the prevention, care, rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and the administration of all facets of the athletic training room and program for Kingstree High School and Hemingway High School.
Essential Duties
Establish standard procedures for first aid and emergency care of student-athletes during practice and games.
Use knowledge of sports-related injuries to recognize and treat student-athletes.
Refer student-athletes to physicians or other medical staff members.
Coordinate the supervision and rehabilitation of injured athletes.
Establish recommendations and provisions of appropriate training and conditioning procedures.
Establish and supervise the operation of a well-equipped athletic training room.
Maintain records relating to student-athlete treatment plans.
Other Duties
Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

BOC Certification, State of South Carolina Athletic Trainer Certification/Licensure or eligible, Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
