Essential Job Duties:

Collaborate with the Medical Director/Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to execute activities related to injury prevention and assessment, emergency/first aid treatment following OSHA guidelines, physical conditioning, rehabilitation support, health education, coaching, and worksite health promotion. Lead and oversee a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for the benefit of employees. Conduct wellness screenings and offer personalized coaching to enhance employee well-being. Analyze data to assess the direct and indirect costs associated with musculoskeletal disorders. Provide effective first-aid treatment and proficiently manage musculoskeletal complaints using techniques like ice, heat, wellness stretches, massages, and non-rigid bracing. Conduct thorough orthopedic injury assessments, encompassing relevant areas such as history, observation, palpation, range of motion, manual muscle strength, reflex testing, myotomes, dermatomes, and special tests. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, integrating therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary. Perform comprehensive ergonomic job analyses, identifying and quantifying risk factors, conducting posture analysis, and evaluating body mechanics. Apply innovative and creative solutions to empower employees in implementing effective ergonomic interventions. Complete administrative tasks diligently and in a timely manner, which may include documenting patient files, handling invoices, preparing monthly reports, managing budgets, filing expense reports, and using outcome tools. Cultivate a culture of trust and care, fostering an environment where workers feel encouraged to take responsibility for minimizing actions that contribute to injury or illness. Maintain regular communication with safety personnel to coordinate rehab and injury prevention activities. Attend meetings as required to contribute valuable insights and updates. Act as a dedicated patient advocate for non-occupational injuries. Embrace any other responsibilities assigned to support the overall success of the role.

Requirements:
Required Licenses and Certifications:

Athletic training licensure in state of practice National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC)

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training program At least two years of experience in a corporate or industrial setting

Other Skills:

Basic computer skills, experience with electronic documentation systems (EMR), familiarity with corporate and industrial injury prevention programs, ergonomics, triage/first aid, and Workers’ Compensation. Strong written and oral communication, clinical assessment, and hands-on manual intervention.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling ,walking, and standing for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate various equipment reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, and kneeling or crouching.
