Job Description
Certified Athletic Trainer (Full-Time) 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1 Medical Center Boulevard, Cookeville, TN 38501 Cookeville Regional Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Department! The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The athletic trainer serves as a primary resource for sports medicine education and delivery of these responsibilities through community outreach and hospital programs, coverage of athletic events, and assisting with clinical and physician services. The ATC may also have responsibilities in the outpatient therapy clinic. All ATC’s are required to have clinical competency for adolescent and adult age groups. ATC’s are not expected to routinely work with geriatrics, children, or infants but are required to have basic CPR and first aid skills for those age groups.
Education:
B.S. or greater in athletic training, sports medicine or related field. Must be able to read and write English. Experience preferred but new graduates are acceptable. Candidate must have current licensure in the state of Tennessee. Candidate must have Certification through National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
