Contract/1099 Opportunity We are seeking tocontract an Audiologist in Dothan, AL to help ensure our servicemembers get the best care possible. As a contracted Audiologist, you willprovide one-time Compensation & Pension (C&P) and pre-dischargeexams for veterans and service members, primarily focusing onevaluating hearing-related conditions. Your role will involveperforming and interpreting audiological tests, documentingfindings, and completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).These exams are critical in determining the severity of hearingproblems and their potential connection to military service.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety oftests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, suchas air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discriminationtests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension andspeech. Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social,educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiogramsand documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss,and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing lossand tinnitus. Operate computerized programs and utilizes application softwareand databases in order to enter, modify, and access informationinto/from electronic medical records. Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbalinformation per HIPAA. Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumenmanagement, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment. Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specificskills and certifications as required by all LOB. Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration DisabilityBenefit Questionnaires (DBQs).

Required Qualifications:
Education:

Doctorate in Audiology (Au.

D.) from an accreditedcollege or university.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience. Proficient in using computers/tablets, Electronic MedicalRecords (EMR), and basic software applications (Microsoft Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Certification:

Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations toperform full scope of authorized practice Certification from the American Speech-Language-HearingAssociation (ASHA) or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) ispreferred but not required. We will reimburse the cost ofcertification.

Clearance:

Ability to pass a medical clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances(LARS, Public Trust, NACI, BGI, etc.) as required.

Preferred:

Professional experience related to Compensation and PensionExaminations or hearing conservation programs is preferred, but notrequired. Experience conducting occupational/disability medicalexaminations

Appointments are typically scheduledapproximately 5 to 7 days of notification. You set the pace andfrequency!

Compensation:

Compensation will be provided for eachexamination, with payment determined based on the specificrequirements and type of examination performed.

AdditionalInformation:

Provider must complete required online training courses, up to9 courses at approx. 10.5 hours total. You will be given access to the Provider Liaison (PL)department; this department assists with any issues, questions, orneeds you may have while contracted with Leidos QTC HealthServices. Leidos QTC Health Services will run a 7-year criminal historyand sex offender background check. Once the BGI and credentialing have been completed, theProvider will be required to obtain CPEP Certification (approx.10.2hours/depending on specialty)
